Terms and conditions for driving lessons with Glide X Driving School

1. Service Agreement
By booking driving lessons with Glide X Driving School, you agree to these terms and conditions. Our services include:
- Professional driving instruction by DVSA approved instructors
- Use of dual-controlled, fully insured vehicles
- Flexible lesson scheduling and pickup services
- Progress tracking and test preparation
- Theory test support and guidance
2. Booking and Payment
Lesson Booking
- Lessons must be booked in advance via phone, email, or online booking system
- We recommend booking at least 48 hours in advance
- Lesson times are subject to instructor availability
- Block bookings receive priority scheduling
Payment Terms
- Payment is due at the time of booking or before the lesson
- We accept cash, bank transfer, and card payments
- Block bookings must be paid in full before the first lesson
- Intensive courses require 50% deposit upon booking, balance due before course start
- All prices include VAT where applicable
4. Student Requirements
Legal Requirements
- Must be at least 17 years old (16 for disability allowance recipients)
- Must hold a valid provisional driving licence
- Must be able to read a number plate from 20 metres
- Must declare any medical conditions that may affect driving
Lesson Conduct
- Arrive punctually for lessons
- Bring provisional licence to every lesson
- Follow instructor guidance and safety instructions
- No alcohol or drugs before or during lessons
- Respectful behaviour towards instructor and other road users
6. Test Bookings and Car Hire
Driving Test Preparation
- We will advise when you are ready for your driving test
- Test booking is the student's responsibility unless arranged as part of intensive course
- Mock tests available to assess readiness
Car Hire for Tests
- Car hire includes vehicle and instructor attendance
- Payment required in advance
- Cancellation charges apply as per lesson cancellation policy
- Alternative dates offered if test is cancelled by DVSA
7. Data Protection and Privacy
- Personal information is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy
- Student records are maintained for regulatory compliance
- Progress information may be shared with DVSA when required
- Marketing communications can be opted out of at any time
8. Complaints and Disputes
- Complaints should be raised directly with the instructor or school management
- We aim to resolve all complaints within 7 working days
- Unresolved complaints may be escalated to DVSA
- Disputes regarding charges must be raised within 30 days
9. Limitation of Liability
- Our liability is limited to the cost of lessons provided
- We are not liable for test failures or additional test fees
- Force majeure events (weather, strikes, etc.) may affect service delivery
- Students are responsible for their own theory test preparation and booking
11. Changes to Terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. Changes will be communicated to existing students and posted on our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
